Sharing Life Stories
Ordinary people share how encountering Jesus has transformed their lives — stories that people can understand, identify with and respond to.

Local teams in Kenya and Uganda are sharing stories of the living God and seeing lives transformed through Jesus.
From prisons and communities to sporting events and workplaces, ordinary people are telling others what God has done in their lives.
Since starting outreach work in Kenya and Uganda in 2008, our associate groups have seen more than 150,000 people make commitments to follow Jesus.
At the heart of the work is something very simple: people telling other people what God has done in their lives. Those testimonies are being shared in prisons, communities, universities, businesses, military barracks, sporting events and many other places.
Figures are based on reports supplied by our associate groups in Kenya and Uganda.
Evangelism, discipleship and practical acts of kindness work together as local Christians serve their own communities.
Ordinary people share how encountering Jesus has transformed their lives — stories that people can understand, identify with and respond to.
Teams regularly visit prisons to share testimonies, pray with prisoners and help those who respond to Jesus continue in discipleship.
The work goes wherever people are — into communities, homes, schools, workplaces, sporting events and public meeting places.
Faith is demonstrated practically too — through food, employment opportunities, soap for prisoners and support for local sports teams.

Samuel coordinates a gifted and hard-working team of local volunteers who organise outreach meetings, build relationships and share their own experiences of God's transforming power.
Recent outreach has taken the team into communities around Kiambu County, meeting casual workers, young men, families and people whose lives have been affected by crime and addiction.
Sporting activities have also provided opportunities to build relationships with young people, including football and volleyball teams.
Charles coordinates an extensive programme of outreach and discipleship, with a particular emphasis on reaching men inside Uganda's prisons.
Teams visit prisons to share personal testimonies and the message of Jesus, pray with prisoners and then return for Bible teaching and discipleship.
The ministry is practical too. Visits have included donations of washing soap to prisoners — a simple but important expression of dignity, compassion and Christian love.

Edwin gave his life to Jesus while in prison in Kenya in 2022.
His story did not finish when he left prison. His life was transformed and he became involved with the local team, helping other men discover the same hope he had found.
At a recent outreach held at Edwin's home, men from the surrounding community gathered to listen. Many had been involved in petty crime and were particularly impacted by hearing Edwin tell the story of his own transformation.
Changed lives changing lives.
The work has always been about more than words.
Through the generosity of members and supporters, local teams have been able to help unemployed people with food, create employment opportunities, provide prisoners with soap and support football teams with strips and boots.
These are often simple things, but they communicate something important: people matter, and Christian faith is something that can be seen as well as heard.
