How Can I Know God
The Christian message is not about trying harder to reach God. It is about what God has done for you through Jesus Christ.
God is Perfect
God is perfect and holy, but we are sinners and cannot reach Him through our own goodness, good works, or religious practices. Sin separates us from God and deserves judgment.
God Loves You
But God loves us deeply. That is why He came to us in Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man. Jesus lived the perfect life we could never live, then took the judgment we deserve by dying in our place. He rose again because He is God, and death could not keep Him.
Become a Child of God
The promise to you is that if you turn from your sin and put your trust in Jesus, God will forgive you, make you His child, and give you His Holy Spirit to live within you. Through Jesus, you are welcomed into a real relationship with God and can know His presence in your life now.
A Prayer to Respond
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. Thank You for dying for my sins and rising again. Please forgive me, come into my life, and make me new. I turn from my sin and put my trust in You alone. Be my Lord, and help me to follow You from this day forward. Amen.
